Why wear wool?

We look at the benefits of choosing wool

At Brora, you may have noticed that we’re huge fans of wool. That’s because it has so many beneficial properties. For starters, unlike so many other fibres, wool is 100% natural and a renewable source of yarn. It’s one of the best ways to protect yourself from all manner of weather conditions, with its unique structure making it a natural insulator while remaining extremely breathable. When it reaches the end of its lifetime, wool is biodegradable, taking a short time to break down and releasing its nutrients back into the soil.

That's why, we've joined forces with The Campaign for Wool. The Campaign is a global venture that was introduced by HRH The Prince of Wales in 2010 to raise awareness of the unique benefits offered by the fibre. This year, their annual Wool Week will mark its eighth year with an extended programme of events, exhibitions and interactive consumer moments that Brora is proud to be involved with.
