At Brora, we are lucky to have worked with some amazing people and well-known Brora fans to create pieces and collections that raise important funds for charities close to our hearts.
We collaborated with gorgeous model and sustainability advocate Amelia Windsor who designed a capsule collection with 10% of the sales going to Blue Marine Foundation, a charity for ocean preservation.
This ocean-inspired collection paid homage to Amelia’s love of the sea and raised awareness for the necessity of ocean preservation and marine conservation. As advocates of slow fashion, the collaboration with Amelia was a meeting of minds as well as aesthetics.
Helena Bonham Carter, Erin O’Connor and Laura Bailey each designed a capsule collection with 10% of the sales going to Save the Children to celebrate their centenary year.
The Scottish cashmere collection included a children’s stripey cashmere jumper, an off the shoulder Bardot style jumper as well as the iconic supersized cashmere scarf emblazoned with 'Phenomenal Woman'. All pieces were a stunning reflection of the personalities and styles of Helena Bonham Carter, Erin O’Connor and Laura Bailey.
We asked Daisy Lowe, Kirstie Allsopp and Dame Emma Thompson to design their dream cashmere piece with 10% of the sales from each going to their chosen charity to help us celebrate our 25th anniversary.
From Emma Thompson’s super luxe, cashmere funnel neck jumper, Daisy Lowe’s neat fitting cashmere cardigan and Kirstie Allsopp’s spongeware inspired, patterned cardigan, the collection had great appeal to a wide audience.
In 2020 we wanted to do our bit for the NHS and other charities during the Covid-19 pandemic and raise some much-needed funds. Following raising an incredible £100,000 for NHS Charities Together, we have now donated a further £150,000 to charities picked by the team at Brora.
