Held at Dumfries House, courtesy of HRH Prince Charles and organised by James Sugden, to encourage sewing and textiles, this year's event was spectacular!
Nine schools brought teams of three representatives, where they had to make a dress - hemline, seam details, darts, neckline, panels - in five hours!
Patrick Grant and I judged the entries on quality of innovation, use of fabric and trims, use of pattern, and the overall finished garment.
It was an uplifting day and I was honoured to be involved. Their royal highnesses came and spoke to all the girls and stayed to see the judging.
